Rules

Members will be allotted 100 points when joining. Each rule broken will deduct points and once you get to zero, your time at Amplify will be put on hold for 3 months, and depending on the severity of infractions it may be up to 6 months. For multiple infractions within one instance, point deduction will be stacked. Every 10-point accrual will equal a two-day ban. It will be the staff's discretion the addition of points back to your total. These rules and guidelines are subject to change at any time based on staff discretion.
Rule Coverage
Discord names must include your character's name(s). If you do not abide by this rule upon creating your character and a staff member asks you to change your name and you ignore the request, a ban might occur. (Staff Excluded)
We are an English-speaking server, you must speak English at all times and be able to understand it.
You must have a working microphone with no background noise and clear output. Failure to do so will result in you being banned until it is fixed.
We strongly encourage you to have fun and try changing your voice yourself without software! If you insist on still using software, your character's changed voice must be approved by an Admin or other Staff member before taking them into the city.
You must be 18+ to play on Amplify Roleplay.
Conversations in tickets and transcripts are confidential; any shared transcripts or conversations with outside parties are against the rules and will result in a ban.
Rule 1 - general/discord
(10 Points)
Players must be a positive community member and remain respectful to everyone at all times.
It is prohibited to advertise or discuss other GTA V multiplayer communities in Amplify
It is prohibited to leak the personal information of another person or to make threats.
It is prohibited to intimidate players from playing in the city or to continuously harass them in the city for OOC reasons to purposely make their roleplay experience poor.
Rule 2 - Disrupting Server Operations
(10 Points)
Any bugs found out by players are to be reported immediately through the proper channels. Anyone found abusing/exploiting bugs will be to an extended ban period.
Players must not have mods, trainers, or any kind of third-party software installed that gives any advantage.
Rule 3 - Bug Abusing/Exploiting
(100 Points)
Players must create a realistic human character.
Players must create realistic character names. Examples of unacceptable names are listed below:
Names that reference known people, characters, brands, places, or icons.
Names that reference slang terms, offensive language or are just unoriginal.
Names that consist of multiple words.
Amplify reserves the right to assign a random name to any character violating our RP naming policy or issue a ban.
Admins may request a player to change their character's customization if they deem it unfit for the server environment.
Characters must dress appropriately for the weather, or at least roleplay the downsides of wearing inappropriate clothes.
Do not make parts of your body invisible or intentionally glitched
Rule 4 - Character Creation
(10 Points)
Only specifically trained and approved players may operate aircraft on the server. (If this does not describe you, then your character is not a pilot and does not "know" how to fly.)
Rule 5 - Aviation
(10 Points)
In Character/Roleplay
Random Death Match is killing someone without reason and without any valid RP purpose. You cannot go around killing people for no reason and without warning.
Prior interaction should include escalation such as a robbery or a report to the police.
Players must be able to explain their reason and provide proof of prior reasoning if requested.
Rule 6 - Random Death Match (RDM)
(10 Points)
A vehicle Deathmatch is when a player kills you with a vehicle for no reason. This includes running people over for no reason and ramming a vehicle with another vehicle to cause it to explode.
Vehicles cannot be used as weapons.
Rule 7 - Vehicle Death Match (VDM)
(10 Points)
Players can not force another player into a situation that they cannot role-play out of, ie.. "Empty out your bank account and give me all your money or force sell me your car"
Any form of Police/EMS/DOJ corruption storylines/scenes must be approved via staff before they are carried out (Open a ticket). If the police caught IC doing corrupt things, it needs to be handled by IC. If you have a government services character and a crim character, you are not eligible to carry out a corrupt storyline. If you are caught doing this without getting permission beforehand, you are subject to a two-week ban.
Police may not spike strip within the immediate area of an active robbery. This not only kills roleplay very quickly but also forces people to break character by asking "NO SPIKE STRIPS" as a demand.
NO POLICE LOOTBOXING - This means it is now a bannable offense to rob PD of their weapons. You need to obtain weapons of that caliber through RP means and not purely downing cops your first day in the city to up your arsenal via a cheesy way. (THE ONLY SCENARIO THIS WILL BE OKAY IS IF YOU ARE INVOLVED IN A JOB AND IT ENDS IN A SHOOTOUT WITH PD. HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE CAUGHT IN POSSESSION OF PD WEAPONS IT WILL BE 3X THE CHARGE.)
Using an in city mechanic to take advantage of a situation.
Rule 8 - Power Gaming
(10 Points)
Metagaming is taking any 3rd party or out of character information that you obtain and using it in character.
Players may not have any interaction or knowledge from their alternate characters.
Communications are to be kept inside of the city. There is to be no outside communication via Discord, or any other platforms unless an admin is in the Discord or group chat.
Rule 9 - Meta Gaming
(10 Points)
You are to value your life in the city. If you are injured, take the injuries seriously. Don't do anything you wouldn't do in real life. {If you are in Pillbox multiple times a night after sustaining multiple major injuries, that's not okay.}
At all times during roleplay, you must value your life and the lives of others. Your character is mortal and only has one life. They should act according to their personality and mannerisms when faced with a threat to their life. This does not mean that a "brave" character can ignore a gun pointed at them. Failure to abide by this rule may be seen as power gaming and/or FailRP.- EMS may not be kidnapped for any reason.
Reporters may not be kidnapped, robbed, or assaulted while reporting on the scene of a crime/event. Reporters must have equipment attached to their person and actively survey the crime/event to be eligible for this exemption.
Players are human. If you have a gun pointed at you, put your hands up. Pulling a weapon during this situation is considered FailRP and you will be banned for this. Your character's life is important, so act as such.
Value the life of others. If a criminal has a hostage, players need to value the life of that hostage as much as their own. Do not charge into a hostage situation without the release and safety of that hostage.
Rule 10 - Value Of Life (VOL)
(10 Points)
Fail RP is failing to stay in character, doing something you would not do in real life, or even a lack of RP in your scenes.
Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor-quality roleplay are considered FailRP.
If a crash/disconnect occurs, players must post in the crash reports discord channel and contact all parties to resume. Players reconnecting must be given all opportunities held prior.
Players should not instigate situations they do not have time to play through. If a player is chased they must wait 20 minutes before they can fly out of the city.
Non-offroad vehicles may not drive up mountains or steep hills.
If you are about to do something in character, ask yourself "would I do this in real life?" and if the answer is no, then you should not do it. { Also, make sure to act within your character's perspective. You shouldn't be doing things that do not line up with who your character is.}
Chain robbing 24/7’s in the city without providing the cops with RP is considered failRP and the PD in the city will be reporting this when it happens. You should not be holding up the store clerk and leaving before PD even arrives.
Rule 11 - Fail Roleplay (FailRP)
(10 Points)
The new life rule states that when you are incapacitated and bleed out/manually respawn (aka taking a "local ambulance (Holding ‘E’)" or "local medevac/airlift (Holding ‘E’)", you do not remember any of the events that led up to your being incapacitated. If a first responder shows up to save you, or if someone takes you to a hospital to check in, you will remember the events leading up to your incapacitation.
If the RP scene is still active and you are down, you must wait until the RP scene has concluded to take local EMS unless the other party directs you to do so within RP. This does not mean the downed person has to wait for hours unless they agree to it. The downed person can take local after 30 minutes of being down on the scene.
{ If the RP scenario involves your intentional attempted murder such as being dropped in the ocean/otherwise being disposed of, you shouldn't be using /911, and should just bleed out, manually respawn, and forget those events. }
Rule 12 - New Life Rule (NLR)
(10 Points)
This includes being racist, homophobic, transphobic, etc. Your characters are not to be attacking anyone for their race, sexual preference, or gender. We do not tolerate any form of terror, racism (including racist language), sexism (including sexist language), sexual harassment, or rape roleplay. (There is no tolerance for this and will be a 100-point deduction automatically)
Erotic roleplay is strictly prohibited.
Roleplay through which a character may be killed, significantly altered, disfigured, or which would realistically change the long-term behavior of a person must be agreed to by the parties directly involved.
Players are not allowed to perform detailed acts of torture, dismemberment, cannibalism, or other extremely graphic activities while any of the parties are streaming or "wearing body cam". These activities should be performed in private AND all parties must agree to the scene before it is carried out.
The roleplaying of suicide attempts and terminal cancer is forbidden!- The roleplaying of mental illness in any fashion is prohibited. As it affects many people differently, prohibiting it all together is the best way to keep people safe.
Due to current events in the world, protesting in the city is off-limits unless pre-approved by staff within a ticket.
Rule 13 - Offensive Roleplay
(30 Points)
Most people in the gaming community should know what this means. This is the act of logging out to escape RP. Examples are listed below:
You are a criminal being chased by the police after a bank robbery and you fly out of the city to avoid being caught and/or avoid interaction.
You are a gang member being chased by another gang and you fly out of the city to avoid being caught and/or avoid interaction.
Rule 14 - Combat Logging
(20 Points)
Criminal Activity
Crimes should be conducted in a realistic manner with reasonable in-character motives using secluded areas. Players should not conduct minor crimes in situations with high risk. Desert or forest areas are considered secluded but witnesses should still be considered.
Players may not use a designated job vehicle for any type of illegal activity.
Players may participate in no more than 1 prison break attempt within 1 OOC week.
It is prohibited to do any illegal activities 15 minutes before a Tsunami.
Players are allowed to kidnap or take other players, hostage for only these specific reasons:
You have to have a roleplay reason to attack the victim in accordance with the RDM rules. If you attempt to commit robbery of a property, you are allowed to hold the players within that property until you have finished the robbery.
All included players may not take another hostage for 24 HRS if you are caught and charged with hostage-taking. That means if one person gets caught and charged, ONLY they would have to sit out of heists for 24 hours.
Rule 15 - General Activity
(10 Points)
A green zone is an area that should not be used for criminal activity whatsoever. Shooting is strictly-prohibited in these areas as well. You must not /drag or /carry anyone out of a green zone for any reason. If you are being chased, evading, etc.. you must not go to a green zone to dodge RP, this will be viewed as combat logging.
Green Zones include:
Real-Estate-Building
Default Spawn Points
Rule 16 - Green Zones (No Crime Area)
(10 Points)
No more than 4 people allowed working on any illegal activities (Exceptions: Pacific Standard (6)) and you may only have 15 players maximum in any one gang. The only exception to this rule is gang wars and that limit is 15 maximum. This includes non-war fights between gangs with the exception of the gang being attacked on their own turf.
If you have a racing crew, the group limit does not apply UNLESS you engage in heists/police activity.
If a group of more than four is initiated on, they are ALL allowed to retaliate during that scene.
If a gang is on their set and PD comes to your set, that gang is allowed to defend their set with ALL members. You may not bait PD back to your set. For this rule to be applied, you must already be on your set.
Rule 17 - Group Limits
(10 Points)
You are only allowed to be in a WL gang with ONE of your characters. {You cannot have a character in Grove and a character in The Suits}
